For developing your documention, we support you in various phases:

You yourself decide to which extent that we should support you. Thus if you are looking for someone, who only works on a new concept for your documentation or simply organizes printing your manuals, we are there for you. We will gladly offer to support you in all phases of a project!

Besides the software's quality itself, the documentation's quality also plays an ever-increasing role.

Conception

We develop the concept for your software documentation. This most importantly contains the following points:

  • Evaluating any already-existing documentation (status-quo analysis, improvement suggestions, new possibilites etc.)
  • Defining the documentation’s extent as you wish (e.g. combination of print and online documentation)
  • Construction and layout of the documentation in compliance with ISO/IEC 12119 and in consideration of the requirements posed by you
  • Structuring the online documentation and online help

Editing

For editing already existing documentation, the expense depends on whether or not this should be:

  • additionally restructered,
  • or also edited regarding content and in this case should be enhanced.

A prerequisite is in any case an introduction to the respective software, so that we can become familiar with the contents and that you provide your software to us, so we can install this at our premises for the project's duration.

Documentation

We develop print and online documentation for new programs and program areas. Thus, the requirements worked upon in the concept regarding structure and layout are respected, so that a clear thread is guaranteed in all documentation areas. Developing your documentation requires an introduction to your software. In addition, it is necessary for you to provide us with the software for the editorial time.

Online documentation

For online documentation, other rules apply than for printed documentation. In place of page-by-page reading, navigation is necessary. Text is converted to hypertext, divided into small information bundles. Thus, these are connected so that a quicker and more targeted access to the required information is provided. Possible online formats are at this time: HTML, HTML Help, JavaHelp, XML and PDF.

Translations

Professional translations, which are both technically and grammatically correct, help promote your company's image abroad. We will translate your software and documentation into English, Spanish or Italian and also vice versa. For translations into other languages, we collaborate with other partner offices. If desired, we will also write your documentation directly in the desired foreign language.

Print management

If needed, we will gladly take over print management for you and take care of printing manuals. If you wish, any manuals will be delivered to you completely finished.

In case manuals are printed by our partner printers, print management belongs to our inhouse service and will not be invoiced as an extra charge. If manuals are printed in a third-party printing company, under certain circumstances, costs for data transfer or other additional work may occur.

Consultation and instruction

If you nonetheless wish to create your own documentation, we will gladly consult and instruct you in implementing appropriate author tools and thereby teach you the basics of technical writing. We will support your employees until the documentation is finished.
